Meet Scott Harris
Reliable Rides was started November 2019. Owner and Operator Scott Harris had a vision of creating a transportation service that is built around trust, reliability and mindset of treating people with dignity and respect. Scott’s favorite vision and quote is the heartbeat of our business “Treat everyone you serve or come in contact with like they are my own Mother, Father, Brother or best friend”.
Scott has a background in many areas including Healthcare sales and management, Hospitality service and management, Emergency Medical Service (EMS) volunteering for local Rescue Squad as EMT for 5 years. All this experience is incorporated in Reliable Rides to make your experience with us a memorable one….

Scott drove our family for a day of fun in Nelson County. Our group included a baby, a son in law with a broken ankle and crutches, and our son’s new puppy. Scott definitely had his hands full but he was absolutely amazing the entire trip. He helped us all in and out of his beautiful new van, kept our purchases organized, and was so kind and attentive. We would highly recommend Scott and his company for any of your travel and touring events. Thanks again, Scott, for providing such a fun and safe day for all of us! We will be back!

July 12, 2026My daughter and I used Reliable Rides for 2 days of wine tastings. Tom and Scott both made the days relaxing and fun. First off, the name fits - they are reliable. They showed up on time and were there for us all day. In fact, Scott made sure we knew that if there was anything we needed, he would do his best to get it for us. I had planned the itinerary and Scott helped us stay on time for any reservations we had. He was flexible and when we decided to skip the last winery and go to the chocolate shop instead, he was happy to do that. We enjoyed the conversations with both of them. Booking was easy. The price was reasonable. Scott was easy to communicate with and was responsive. Overall they helped make the trip memorable. If you are in need of a ride service in the Charlottesville area, I highly recommend Reliable Rides.

Where do I even start? We hired Scott with Reliable Rides for our girls weekend to take us to several vineyards after he came highly recommended by a local group. Scott was super responsive and communicated with me several times in advance to make sure all details were correct before our trip. First off, we were staying at a location much further than anticipated, but he gladly picked us up with a smile on his face and ready to go for the day! His cheerful demeanor really set the tone for the drive and we were so happy that we got to officially break in his brand new vehicle (which was gorgeous by the way!) He had already sent me a huge list of places he recommended with an amazing itinerary for the day, but made it very clear from the start that he truly wanted the day to be what WE wanted. He was so flexible with stops and took us exactly where we had envisioned. He even made sure to ask if we needed anything throughout the entire day and provided water bottles for us right from the start! His communication skills were top notch, and we listened to amazing music the whole day (that he let us choose!!) The conversations were great and our group absolutely enjoyed Scott’s energy. We ended up having the best day ever and it truly would not have been possible without Scott at Reliable Rides. I will only use his transportation services from here on out, and will recommend him to everyone I know! Thanks for everything, Scott!!!

They use him every year for their girls trip, and would not even consider using anyone else. And we have hired him a couple other times with some friends to drive us around for the day, and again, would not even look elsewhere. He is extremely dependable, professional, always on time, and most of all just so much fun!! Tom was awesome, he provided information on the places we visited throughout the day (3 wineries + a distillery) and the 12 passenger van was extremely nice and comfortable to ride in. The price was extremely fair as well. All in all it was a great experience. We will absolutely be using Reliable Rides again!
